Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

Strategic Leadership & Vision

  • Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive influencer marketing programs that align with client goals and industry best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and execute innovative influencer marketing campaigns
  • Create compelling influencer briefs and strategic approaches that drive measurable results
  • Understand influencer marketing's role within the broader marketing mix and provide strategic POVs on evolving industry trends
  • Contribute to expanding agency capabilities and offerings within digital and influencer spaces
  • Adapt tactics dynamically to respond to the ever-evolving digital landscape

 

Influencer Relations & Business Development

  • Identify and recruit digital influencers relevant to campaign objectives through data-driven analysis and manual research
  • Build comprehensive influencer profiles and provide detailed performance overviews
  • Establish, nurture, and maintain key relationships with creators, influencers, and their management teams
  • Foster a strong network of high-performing influencers for ongoing partnership opportunities
  • Negotiate influencer terms and oversee complex contract negotiations
  • Develop all Statements of Work (SOWs) for digital influencer programs

 

Campaign Excellence & Client Management

  • Communicate campaign progress, status updates, and strategic insights to clients and internal teams
  • Oversee timely execution of campaigns while maintaining quality standards
  • Manage client feedback cycles and review processes efficiently
  • Hold influencers accountable to deliverables, timelines, and creative briefs
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness and agility, pivoting strategies based on real-time campaign performance
  • Track budgets and schedules meticulously to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
  • Analyze campaign performance and deliver thoughtful insights through comprehensive reporting

 

Team Leadership & Development

  • Provide strategic oversight and high-level guidance across strategy, creative, production, and reporting workstreams
  • Lead and mentor the influencer team through regular 1:1s, project guidance, constructive feedback, and professional development
  • Effectively delegate work and manage team capacity and performance
  • Identify, establish, and optimize internal processes to enhance team efficiency and output quality
  • Lead influencer/creator strategy for new business pitches and major client projects with minimal oversight
  • Drive the evolution and optimization of the influencer department in partnership with senior leadership

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work collaboratively with all agency teams to develop integrated influencer and creator strategies that exceed client expectations
  • Support new business development through strategic leadership and influencer expertise
  • Lead opportunities to elevate both the influencer team and agency's industry reputation

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of relevant social media, advertising, or marketing experience, with agency experience strongly preferred
  • Proven track record of developing and selling influencer activations and campaigns
  • Demonstrated mastery of influencer identification, relationship building, and contract negotiation
  • Comprehensive understanding of platform-specific capabilities and execution requirements
  • Strong organizational and strategic planning capabilities
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with copy editing abilities preferred
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities with creative approach to brand challenges

 

Regarding compensation, the range below represents the low and high end of the base salary someone in this role may earn as a full-time employee of Mekanism in the United States. Salaries will vary on the basis of various factors, including but not limited to professional and academic experience, training, associated responsibilities, and other business and organizational needs. Salary decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire. 

Salary: $125,000 - $135,000
