THIS JOB ROLE CONSISTS OF THE FOLLOWING:

Program Development- Crafting Client Plans & Programs 

  • Partner consistently and successfully with creative, strategic/planning specialists 
  • Present concrete campaign results against objectives 


Relationship Management 

  • Serve as the lead day-to-day client contact for medium accounts or multiple small accounts, with limited oversight 
  • Understand and influence the management of the account including finances, team operations, client relationships and organic growth plans 
  • Build and nurture the client relationship while supporting the management and optimization of a team 


Campaign Management & Execution - Team Deployment & Tactical Execution 

  • Take action by delegating appropriately and in alignment with team member skills and growth 
  • Manage difficult and challenging projects or those requiring specific, high-level expertise to high standards of quality, on time, on strategy and within budget limits 
  • Foster collaboration across integrated team of generalists and specialists 


Earned, Social & Digital - Integration 

  • Possess a thorough command of the social media and digital world (from the evolving social web to mobile tools and trends), sophisticated client service and digital communications skills, high energy and passion for this area of rapid change and innovation 
  • Define KPIs and implement measurement, analytics and reporting methods to gauge success 

 

New Business- Pitches, Proposals, Agency Marketing & Awards 

  • Drive the organic growth of current accounts 
  • Contribute to new business development by pursuing leads, developing campaigns, creative concepts and proposals, marketing the agency and participating in professional associations 
  • Effectively manage the quality of content development and the timely delivery of pitches 
  • Assist in the negotiation/presentation process and planning 
  • Demonstrate ability to utilize business network to make appropriate contacts in target market to generate leads 
  • Represent professional point of view in agency blog content 

Financial Management - Stewardship of Resources 

  • Directly manage monthly Finance process with accuracy and without supervisor support
  • Capable of managing and growing a significant account autonomously, in preparation for portfolio ownership 

Agency Leadership - Organizational Development 

  • Is able to balance internal (agency) and external (client) responsibilities 
  • Address issues directly and without unnecessary gossip or involvement of outside parties 
  • Is actively involved in agency operational initiatives 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 8-10 years of relevant experience in corporate communications and/or related fields, including agency or in-house communications roles
  • Proven experience with integrated corporate communication programs including corporate brand building, media relations, issues and crisis management, executive visibility and thought leadership, digital and social, and stakeholder management  is required.
  • Both B2C and B2B experience a plus
  • Excellent leadership/ teamwork skills and the ability to multitask
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong presentation and client engagement skills
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Interest and passion in training others and building knowledge across the organization
  • Well organized, disciplined and detail oriented
